What a beautiful story of love and acceptance. I found it particularly interesting that they seem to have captured the awkwardness of their initial meeting - each of them wanting to do and say the right things, but neither knowing how. What followed was a little bit of everything - humor, kindness, intrigue and of course, love. One side note: I thought that the director did a smart thing by not trying to paint locals in a bad light. I am sure that it couldn't have been too hard to capture one of them saying or doing something stupid on film. This is not how hearts are changed.
