I don't know that this movie should be compared to The Happiest Season. While both movies have homosexual characters as the leads and they go home for Christmas the similarities end there. This movie actually felt more like a Hallmark movie. While the cast here is very likable and the movie is alright I feel that there have been better Christmas movies this year (8-Bit Christmas and Love Hard come to mind). Side note: Why is Jennifer Coolidge now a punchline in every movie? At one point she was a decent actress.
