Quite by accident, a film director arrives in town a day early. With time to kill before his lecture, he stops by a restored palace and meets a fledgling artist. Shes never seen any of his films, but knows hes famous. They talk, they go to her workshop to look at her paintings, and they have sushi and soju. More conversation follows, along with more drinks, and then an awkward get-together with friends where all sorts of secrets are revealed. All the while, they may or may not be falling for each other. Then, quite unexpectedly, we begin again, but now things appear somewhat different.

I generally give films that try something new a little bit higher of a grade when there is an off-the-beaten-premise. In this film the premise seems to be that even small differences in our interactions could have resulted in the day or a life having a different outcome. In a way this film reminded me of Woody Allen's Melinda and Melinda. In that film the premise was a little more straight-forward (every tragedy is a comedy and vice versa). I thought the acting in this film was very good and so was the scenery. However, because the movie takes place in a twenty four hour span the viewer had to witness some really bland dialog in order to get a feel for how the day might be different if even the smallest changes occurred. At times this rather tedious to experience.
