This movie hit home a little bit for me because I am the "black sheep" of my family and estranged from various members. I can't imagine being estranged AND living next door to any one of them. Anyway, the movie does a great job presenting us with various themes: what we owe our community, what we owe our family, etc. It was interesting to see how the main character navigated these questions and where he ultimately landed. Overall it was a nice little movie.
