On the plus side it was good to see two fine actors (Toni Collette and Thomas Hayden Church) together in a film. It's a decent movie - the premise is that Collette's character is trying to find herself in the present while being asked to write a difficult story about someone from her past. It's not hard to see where the film is going to go and when it gets there the ending is satisfying enough. It was good to see Depp (albeit it briefly) in a dramatic role.
