In a small North Carolina town, Paul, a womanizer, meets Noel, a confused intellectual returning home for the first time in years since she left for boarding school. The film depicts the typical romance of a good girl and a bad boy, in an interesting way.

I'll get right to it - I really loved this film. It is very much a "talkie" character drama that is slow and sure in its pacing. The female lead is sweet and innocent and this actually gave the film the same kind of feel for the first two thirds of the film. It was odd in that the film really didn't throw any surprises and you seemed to know where it was going and you were ok with that. The last act is.... not that. The reconciliation of so many things was really interesting to see.
